2021 Tesla Model Y Performance AWD w/ White & Black Premium Interior

THRILLING, ALL ELECTRIC, ONE-OWNER, NO-ACCIDENT, NONSMOKER, ELECTRIC ADRENALINE ON DEMAND!

Tesla built the Model Y to prove that a family-sized electric SUV does not have to feel like a compromise, and the Performance version dials that idea all the way up. This Solid Black example pairs its sleek exterior with a bright White and Black interior, and it arrives as a one-owner Model Y hovering around the 51,500-mile mark.

Power reaches all four wheels through dual electric motors, one at each axle, which is why the Performance can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds according to Tesla and still behave like a calm, composed daily driver. The all-wheel-drive layout also adds traction on wet roads and in winter weather, so the quick acceleration comes with real everyday confidence.

Just as important, the Model Y wraps that performance in genuine practicality, with a hatchback-style rear opening, a flat-folding rear seat, and a front trunk, so the same SUV that wins the stoplight sprint can also swallow a week's worth of family gear.

Why Shoppers Buy This Model

The Model Y has become one of the best-known electric SUVs because it combines everyday usefulness with the things Tesla owners tend to rave about. The cabin is clean, open, and airy, with a single large touchscreen in place of a cluttered dashboard, and the hatchback layout makes loading groceries, luggage, and strollers easy. Over-the-air software updates keep the vehicle feeling current, and access to Tesla's Supercharger network makes long trips far more convenient than they are in many other electric vehicles.

Shoppers usually cross-shop it with the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Volkswagen ID.4, and the Audi Q4 e-tron, and the Model Y tends to stand out for its acceleration, its efficient range, and its technology. It is a vehicle that appeals to buyers who want to spend less time at the gas station and more time enjoying the drive.

Automotive Press and Industry Recognition

Reviewers have been consistent about what makes the Model Y compelling. Edmunds scored the 2021 Model Y at 8.1 out of 10, calling it a stylish and roomy electric SUV with strong appeal, and praised its stunning acceleration, especially in Performance form, along with quick steering with little body roll and excellent in-town drivability with adjustable regenerative braking. Edmunds also noted the Performance's firmer, sportier ride, which is part of the character that enthusiasts enjoy. On the safety front, the Model Y earned a five-star overall rating from NHTSA in government crash testing.

Warranty

This Model Y shows 51,525 miles on the odometer, a figure that works out to steady, ordinary use for a 2021 model.

Extended service plans may be available for buyers who want added peace of mind.

Standard Features

The Performance is the sportiest member of the Model Y family, and it earns the step up from the Long Range with serious hardware. A lowered suspension, upgraded performance brakes, and 21-inch Uberturbine wheels sharpen the handling and give the Model Y a more planted, athletic stance, while the dual-motor powertrain delivers its quickest acceleration in the lineup.

Inside, a 15-inch center touchscreen, an all-glass roof, and a premium audio system carry the Tesla experience, and the cabin is a calm, spacious place to spend time. It is a trim for the buyer who wants an electric family SUV that can also be genuinely fun.

Installed Options

• White and Black Premium Interior

  • Swaps the dash's wood trim for a crisp white center panel, giving the cabin a bright, modern look.

Charging, Range & Electrified Powertrain

The Model Y Performance is rated by the EPA at 303 miles of range on a full charge, which is enough distance to handle a week of commuting or a long road trip with only a quick charging stop along the way. Regenerative braking recaptures energy every time you lift off the accelerator, feeding it back into the battery and extending the range further.

At home, the 11.5 kW onboard charger lets the Model Y fill up on a Level 2 connection in roughly 6 to 7.5 hours for a full charge, which is a comfortable overnight routine for most owners. On the road, the Tesla Supercharger network supports charging at up to 250 kW, and published figures put a 0 to 80 percent session at roughly 16 to 20 minutes under ideal conditions, about the time it takes to stretch your legs and grab a coffee.

Mechanical Features

Driving the Model Y Performance is defined by instant response. The dual electric motors deliver their torque the moment you press the accelerator, with no gears to shift and no lag, so passing, merging, and pulling away from a stoplight feel immediate and effortless. A top speed of 155 mph and a 0 to 60 mph time of about 3.5 seconds, per Tesla, put it in the performance-car conversation.

The lowered suspension and quick, precise steering keep the Model Y planted through corners, and the battery's low placement gives the SUV a low center of gravity that helps it feel stable and balanced. The performance brakes provide strong, confident stopping power to match the acceleration.

Adjustable regenerative braking lets the driver choose how strongly the car slows when lifting off the accelerator, which makes it easy to drive smoothly around town, often with one pedal.

Exterior Features

The Model Y's smooth, flowing shape has an unmistakable presence, and Solid Black paint gives the Performance a sleek, serious look that suits its character. The lowered stance and the 21-inch Uberturbine wheels fill the wheel wells and give the SUV an athletic posture, while the flush door handles and clean, uncluttered lines reinforce its modern, aerodynamic design.

The all-glass roof stretches overhead to brighten the cabin, and a power liftgate opening reveals a generous cargo area that works as well for a Costco run as for a ski trip.

Interior Features

Step inside and the Model Y feels airy, modern, and uncluttered. The White and Black interior brightens the cabin, with a crisp white center panel replacing the usual wood trim, and the all-glass roof adds even more light. There is generous headroom and legroom in both rows, and the flat-folding rear seat opens up more than 70 cubic feet of cargo space, with a front trunk adding a little extra.

Heated seats take the chill out of winter mornings, and the minimalist dashboard puts the focus on the road and the large central display. It is a calm, quiet place to spend time, which suits both the daily commute and the long family trip.

Infotainment & Technology

The Model Y's 15-inch touchscreen is the heart of the cabin, putting navigation, climate controls, media, and vehicle settings in one clean interface. Built-in navigation helps with route planning and Supercharger stops, Bluetooth and streaming audio keep entertainment flowing, and over-the-air software updates keep the system feeling fresh. Subscription may be required to maintain service.

A premium audio system fills the cabin with rich, detailed sound, and voice commands make it easy to adjust settings without taking your hands off the wheel.

Safety Features

Tesla's driver-assistance hardware gives the Model Y a layer of added protection, with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure avoidance, and blind spot collision warning working in the background to help avoid trouble. Traffic-aware cruise control eases the strain of highway traffic by maintaining a set following distance.

A rigid body structure, a low center of gravity, and a full complement of airbags provide additional protection for everyone onboard, and the Model Y's five-star NHTSA rating reflects how seriously Tesla treats occupant safety.

Please note that around November 2023, this Model Y was reacquired by Tesla, Inc. after the original owner reported three concerns involving the climate control system, driveability, and the suspension. Although details of the repairs weren't provided, consumer protection laws generally require buyback defects to be corrected and disclosed before resale. Manufacturer documentation is available and will be reviewed with the purchaser.

The Bottom Line

With one owner from new, a clean accident and damage record, a 303-mile EPA range, and dual-motor performance that covers 0 to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds, this Model Y Performance delivers a rare combination of excitement and everyday usefulness. The bright White and Black interior makes it feel special every time you open the door, and the all-wheel-drive traction means it is ready for whatever the weather brings.

This Model Y does its best work in the time between a green light and the speed limit.
