Great used car dealership. Prices are competitive and no hidden prices. The price you see is the price you pay plus paperwork and taxes. The taxes were adjusted lower due to my trade in and paperwork was $799. They had about 1,400 vehicles on the lot.

I was in a stressful situation where I was financially strapped but had to find a car quick because my old one was barely drivable. Aleksandr Mazurovskiy spent nearly three hours with me on a Friday night, helping me find the right car. He kept saying he wanted me to leave feeling comfortable with all my choices -- the car itself and all parts of the deal. He found three different cars for me to test drive and after listening to me talk, went out of his way to find a manual for me. I've always driven stick and unfortunately had to drive an automatic for the past two years, following a quick used car purchase when my ten-year old Honda died. I left the lot with a beautiful, smooth-running 2023 6-speed Jetta that's a pleasure to drive, the sense that it would last me a long time, a deal I could afford, and the memory of a very pleasant, compassionate sales experience.

UPDATE — OCTOBER 23, 2026: AUTOMOTIVE AVENUES — A COMPLETE FAILURE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP Just when I thought my experience with Automotive Avenues couldn’t get any worse, I had the opportunity to speak directly with the owner. Unfortunately, that experience only reinforced my concerns about this dealership. During our initial conversation, the owner appeared genuinely concerned and committed to making things right. He assured me that he wanted to address the problems and ensure everything was handled properly. For the first time, I felt someone was actually listening. That impression lasted less than 24 hours. When I spoke with him again the following day, his attitude had completely changed. He became dismissive, argumentative, and condescending, repeatedly talking over me rather than allowing me to explain my concerns. It was the same obnoxious behavior I had already experienced from the salesman and sales manager. At that point, I began to understand why my experience with this dealership had been so frustrating. When the same behavior extends from the sales staff all the way to the owner, it raises serious questions about the leadership and customer service culture of the entire business. I also want to acknowledge my own behavior. At the conclusion of my sales transaction, I lost my temper with the sales manager. I’m not proud of that, and I take responsibility for it. However, by that point, I had reached my breaking point after repeatedly feeling dismissed and talked over. And what finally pushed me over the edge? A FLAT TIRE WITH A NAIL IN IT. Rather than showing any meaningful concern or attempting to reach a reasonable resolution, the sales manager repeatedly insisted that the flat tire wasn’t the dealership’s responsibility. His explanation? It was an “ACT OF GOD.” Apparently, a nail in a tire now qualifies as an act of God. The issue wasn’t simply the tire. It was the complete lack of empathy, professionalism, and willingness to address a customer’s concern. I wasn’t asking for special treatment. I was expecting basic respect and reasonable customer service. I fully acknowledge that I allowed my frustration to get the better of me. What I have yet to witness is that same willingness to accept responsibility from the people representing Automotive Avenues. What makes this experience especially disappointing is the owner’s initial assurance that he wanted to resolve everything, followed by his dramatically different attitude the very next day. A business owner should set the example for professionalism and accountability, not demonstrate the very behavior that caused the complaint in the first place. Anyone can make promises. What matters is whether those promises are supported by actions. My advice to prospective customers is simple: Pay close attention to how a dealership treats you when something goes wrong, not just when they’re trying to sell you a vehicle. The most disappointing part of this entire experience wasn’t the flat tire. It wasn’t even the sales manager’s attitude. It was discovering that taking my concerns directly to the owner left me feeling even more disrespected. I cannot recommend Automotive Avenues based on my experience. A dealership’s true character isn’t revealed when everything goes smoothly. It’s revealed when a customer has a problem, and in my experience, Automotive Avenues failed that test at every level.

The first review I left a few months ago about my car buy experience, the manager called and asked me to delete it so they can help me. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Edit in response to owners comment : I have four kids in school who I have to drop off , pick up at three different school. I have different appointments, they all have after school activities and sports. So I AM busy and need my car to drive them to their things. When Ralph called me, I was at a doctors appointment. LAST WEEK he told me that the car would most likely be ready by Monday the 12th. Nothing. I called him that day AND emailed him on the 11th, nothing. Didn’t reply. I called on the 12th, nothing. I emailed him in the 12th, nothing. I called on the 13th, NOTHING. So I emailed him again and said I’ve been trying to reach him. Nothing. He then calls when I’m in the middle of a school appointment and then emails me. Tells me the car is at the dealership. Okay cool. Thursday I spoke to KEN, he said oh the car just got to the dealership and they’re working on it. Just got there? What? It’s now two weeks this coming Monday and literally no one can give me an update. This is frustrating. You guys sold me a vehicle and claimed it wasn’t in a crash yet when I took it to the ford dealership three weeks ago; they confirmed that it was involved in a crash and there was issues behind the bumper which is the only reason I brought the car back to you guys to help. But now I’m left with no car and no update. TODAY, I contacted numerous times to talk to a manager and FIVE TIMES, they hung up on me as I was “transferred” NO MANAGER CALLED ME. I was calling them and no one passed me to a manager ; they just HUNG UP!!

Automotive Avenues is a stand up dealership. I went through two cars that unfortunately had issues beyond normal repair all under factory warranty. Automotive Avenues took both cars back and put me into a nice 2024 Pathfinder. So far so good. Mike Tiedemann was my salesman and I highly recommend him. He’s honest, helpful and always answered my call. Thanks Mike!

Communication is very poor. Bought a car from them. They handled the shipping. I told them I would be out of town and could not take shipment to a certain date. They assured me the car would not arrive until I was back home. Car arrived the day I left for my trip. I had to scramble and find a friend to get the car. The dealership offered nothing. The car also arrived absolutely filthy on the outside. Never again!

Bought a car 2 weeks ago. The process was long and drawn out when I already had a loan set in place wasted 40 minutes sitting while the salesman got gas in the car. Gave us 1 key fob where the buttons are all worn and half the buttons don't work. Now the service department is not responding to calls and emails. Dealership doesn't care once they have your money

Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Customer Service and No Transparency I visited Automotive Avenues in Wall, NJ, interested in purchasing a 2016 Toyota Corolla S Plus. During the test drive, I noticed a noise coming from the left wheel area when driving down a small incline, almost as if something was loose. I also reviewed the CARFAX report and noticed two reported damage incidents and approximately three years without documented maintenance records. When I asked about the vehicle’s maintenance history and documentation of the accident repairs, I was not provided with satisfactory answers. Instead of addressing my concerns or being willing to negotiate, the staff simply insisted that the vehicle was already priced low and that the price was non-negotiable. I also explained that I wanted to finance the vehicle with zero down payment, but I was told that a $500 down payment was required under dealership policy. What disappointed me the most was not the price itself, but the attitude and lack of willingness to address legitimate customer concerns. Buying a used vehicle is a significant financial decision, and customers deserve respectful treatment, clear answers, and transparency. Unfortunately, I did not feel comfortable purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. I would strongly recommend that potential buyers carefully review the vehicle history, request maintenance and repair documentation, and arrange an independent inspection before making a purchase.

Awful.bait and switch dealer. Add on tracking nonsense and vin etching totaly 1500 which Benny said must be paid. Left quickly. Yelp has realistic reviews. This dealer removed the negative ones.

Never had so much time wasted. Already came with loan and all paperwork. Took 3 hours plus. 40 minutes to get gas then was asked if I needed extended warranty. Coulve asked that during the fill up. Wasted time telling me they had to wait for bank when I already had the loan set in place. Was a custiner for 10 years.Never again...

Horrible experience with this company while trying to buy a car on the other coast. I have been hunting for a specific electric car and when they saw they had one they messaged me (what seemed like automatic responses or AI tool). I responded right away with a couple simple questions and then a real person said they would get back to me. Within the hour, I asked how I can put a deposit down on the vehicle since I was interested in it regardless of the questions answered since it was under manufacturer warranty still. They did not get back to me. It took me reaching out the next day for them to realize they just let someone else put a deposit on the car. So either they let someone else put a deposit down when I requested it to right when they messaged me in the first place or the car was already sold yet they have automatic messages still going out. Either way some manager needs to fix something.

From the very first inquiry call the sales women had an unnecessary attitude. Made every question difficult and made it hard to get any extra information about the car and/or more pictures or videos.

Went to buy a box truck and told them in advance by several days and the truck was completely unprepared to even be moved from storage to be presented for a test drive, was told not to shut it off since they had to jump it and it might not power back on. Took it for a test drive and the brakes barely worked (looked at the brake reservoir and it looked empty), it was also low on coolant but luckily it didn't shut off as I may have completely lost my brakes if that happened. Maybe they were hopping that I would crash it so I'd have to buy it, vehicle barely had any miles as well so that was odd as well as was the rust on the frame for a car with less than 10k miles. Complete waste of my time.

Why I'm writing this now: My car recently did not pass emissions testing again, for what appears to be the same reason it failed right after I bought it. Why I'm writing this now: My car recently did not pass emissions testing again, for what appears to be the same reason it failed right after I bought it. That brought back the whole experience below, which I had let go at the time. I'm sharing what happened back then. In March 2024, I drove about 3 hours from Maryland to buy a 2020 Honda Odyssey I found on Cars.com. I was a first-time car buyer, and this is my honest experience. Fees: Before I made the trip, my understanding from talking with the dealership was that fees would be around $700 beyond the price of the car. The final paperwork showed much more: a $789 Documentary Fee (a $420 Clerical Fee plus a $369 Document Delivery Fee), a $300 MV Agency Fee, and an estimated $557.50 Registration/Title Fee, on top of tax. In my opinion, these fees were excessive and overlapped with each other. Price: When I pointed out paint scratches, the price was reduced to $27,000. However, a $189 "Anti-Theft Etch," marked as optional, was added, bringing the vehicle price to $27,189. I did not understand at the time that I was paying for this, so the discount effectively disappeared. Emissions: After I got the car home, it did not pass emissions inspection. I had to take it back to the dealership for repair. In total, I made four trips, about 3 hours each, and drove a small loaner car in between while mine was being fixed. This cost me about two full days of work, plus gas and tolls. Promises not kept: During this process, I was told on the phone that my gas for these trips would be reimbursed and that the car would be returned with a full tank. I never received any reimbursement, and the tank was not filled. I also pointed out several existing problems, including a broken sunshade, and was told they would be fixed. None of them were repaired. Reviews: After the sale, someone from the dealership called me and asked me to leave a good review. Please keep that in mind when reading the ratings here. I'm sharing this so other buyers, especially those coming from out of state, know to get every price and every promise in writing before they sign or make the drive. ================================= Response to the owner's reply: The owner's reply above was written in response to an earlier version of my review. I've since revised it so that it describes only my own experience and my personal opinions. A few clarifications: I wrote this review myself. English is not my first language, so I used a tool to help with wording. The experience is my own. After I posted this review, the owner emailed me saying he had forwarded it to his attorneys, called my statements libelous, and said the dealership has "every intention of escalating the matter." He also offered to deliver anything promised if I could provide documentation. Since those promises were made by phone, I don't have written records, which is exactly why I advise buyers to get everything in writing. Update (Oct 1, 2026): In a second email, the owner still took no responsibility. On the gas, he said I should have called a manager. On the sunshade, he said there was "no paperwork." His own records confirm I returned twice: four 3-hour drives. He didn't deny the call asking me for a good review. In my opinion: no apology, just denial and legal threats. Buyers, be careful.

This is a long but thorough review two months out after a car purchased here. While the buying process was semi-okay, they pushed every warranty under the sun to me. I actually did not sign up for most of them since the car has 200 miles on it and practically new with all manufacturers warranty for 3 - 4 years. I made the mistake of buying GAP insurance. The sales and finance dept made the GAP insurance sound like it was required for me to complete the sale. I signed up but didn't realize it was not at all required. This is an insurance that covers the gap for the finance company in the event the car is considered a total loss and the car Insurance will only covers the book value. Essentially, in the rare likelihood of a total loss during the course of the loan, this GAP will cover the difference between the loan amount and the reimbursement from my auto insurance. Mind you this is the exact risk why the Auto loan has a interest rate and for individuals with bad credit its higher. The asset (collateral) and the title is held by the finance company until the loan is paid. In my case I have an excellent credit. I don't know for sure but they actually put my loan through as though I had medium credit score (higher interest rate is an indication of bad credit score) so they were able to sign me up for this so called GAP insurance. I also got a letter from Wells Fargo that said I was not enrolled in the best possible rate based on my credit score. Two months later, I filled out all their BS forms to get a refund of $1295.00 and nothing. Automotive Avenue says they are not responsible, Wells Fargo says they are not responsible. The Third party (Star Preferred,) says the refund is automatic when the loan is paid off. I feel this is a total scam! I feel cheated at this point and looking to report this matter to BBB and Consumer protection. Automotive Avenues were very quick to have me pay additional charge on a monthly basis for 6 years. But while refunding/canceling the service they wash their hands and provided no help. Products Automotive Avenues pushed during signing:- * Theft Deterrent Products - This is already built-in on most modern cars. Also, I don't see my car being stolen from my garage:) *Allstate Service Protection Products - Tiered at levels (1,2&3) cost up to 3 - 4 thousand dollars! *Star Preferred GAP Insurance - The one by mistake signed up ($1295) At the end it will inflate the overall cost of the car. The sales pitch is that its just a few dollars on the monthly payment. With interest on the 4 - 5 thousand over 6 years you will easily pay 50% more on just the warranties. I hope this helps others to be smarter shoppers and please reject all warranties when the sales and finance manager push this on you. Automotive Avenues review ends here---------- After decades of car buying in the US, this will be the last time I ever buy any kind of warranty. Over 5 decades, I have paid 10s of thousands literally on auto warranties and have not seen any benefit from it once. Be aware that any Warranty that you purchase, if you want to cancel, it is next to impossible to get your money back. They do this intentionally to not give you the money back or hold your money without interest to you as long as they can. In the event when you go to them and try to use the coverage, they will almost always tell you it's not covered. Bottomline, don't waste your money on unnecessary coverage from the dealership! A phone call that sets an appointment and does zero qualification is not a sales process, it is a lead funnel. Do your homework before you make the trip.

I had a very disappointing experience with the customer service at Automotive Avenues. The communication was poor, and I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. I expected much better follow-up and professionalism, especially when making such a significant purchase.

Bought my sixth car from this dealership today! They have a great selection and Derek Massio made the buying process as painless as it gets. This is why I keep coming back!

DO NOT TRUST A “HOLD” FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They told me they would hold a car until I arrived from out of state, confirmed my appointment, and then sold the car before I got there without telling me. I spoke to three different employees who told me they could put a hold on the car starting on Saturday if I confirmed my travel arrangements and made an appointment for Monday (Labor Day). I have text messages showing them asking for my driver’s license and flight confirmation, which I provided. I arrived first thing Monday morning and was told the car had been sold on Saturday. What makes this particularly awful is that I received another text from the dealership just before close of business Saturday RE-CONFIRMING my Monday appointment. By that point, the car had been sold. They knew I was flying in from out of state and still did not bother to tell me. Then, on Tuesday, another employee, who had no idea what had happened, called to follow up. When I explained the situation, his FIRST question was: “Did they put a hold on the car for you?” He apologized profusely, which was more than the salesman did when I showed up Monday. That guy couldn't even look me in the eye when he said the car had been sold. He just walked away and mumbled something about getting his manager. Not surprisingly, the manager did not show while I sat there for 30 minutes trying to figure out a plan to get home on Labor Day. To be clear: this is not an isolated incident. Search through their reviews here, on Cars.com, BBB, and DealerRater. You will find customers reporting very similar experiences. You will also find wildly inconsistent statements about this dealership’s supposed hold policy. In different reviews and dealership responses, you can find: • the dealership claiming it DOES NOT hold vehicles; • customers saying they were asked for deposits to hold vehicles (I specifically asked about a deposit and was told that was not an option); • a dealership response stating that they “typically” hold vehicles for 2–3 days; and • positive reviews from customers saying Automotive Avenues placed courtesy holds on vehicles while they traveled to purchase them. So what exactly is the policy? Depends who you talk to. A salesperson may tell you the vehicle is being held. If the car gets sold anyway, that promise means nothing. If you are traveling any meaningful distance to buy a vehicle here, DO NOT RELY ON THEIR WORD THAT THE CAR WILL BE THERE WHEN YOU ARRIVE. I flew in from out of state based on what three employees told me, provided the travel documentation they requested, and even had my appointment reconfirmed after the car had already been sold. I made the trip for nothing. If they respond to this review, I have a pretty good idea what they’ll say, because I’ve already read their responses to other customers with the same complaint: that they don’t hold cars, that vehicles are first-come, first-served, or that there was some kind of misunderstanding. That'll be difficult to square with three employees telling me the car could be held, asking me for my flight information and ID, and another employee later asking whether the car had been put on hold for me.

I have purchased 2 vehicles from this place. Both times I had to come back twice for the plates because both cars had no front plate holder. This is new jersey so you would think that they would order the holders ahead of time instead of having to come back twice. I am currently standing here waiting again for someone to put the plate on

Worst car dealership I have ever dealt with. Every time I called, I was pushed around to different people. No one was consistent and no one seemed to have the time of day to speak to me. I was told by Amanda H. that she would put a hold on the car and it would be available for my appointment the next day.
